This dated shopping centre had not been refurbished since it was built
Challenges:
Gyle Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Edinburgh had not been
refurbished since it was originally constructed in 1994 and as such had an
extremely dated appearance which was hampering leasing and asset management
efforts |
Strategy:
A highly respected market leading design team was assembled and formally appointed. Ellandi engaged directly with the two anchor tenants (M&S and Morrisons) whose legal agreement was required to deliver the project |
The project had to be completed so as not to interfere with the
crucial pre-Christmas trade period |
Solutions:
Project completed on-time with a challenging 22 week delivery
period and within the £2.5m budget |
The successful delivery then directly led to a high-profile letting to JD Sports to coincide with project completion |
