Shopping Centre Magazine: Ellandi goes back to the shop floor
Posted by Shopping Centre Magazine on 13th Jan 2016
In the run-up to Christmas, Ellandi and Workman joined together to send 51 members of staff to work in retail outlets across 10 of Ellandi's shopping centres. The project is a key part of their commitment to engaging with the local community and helping retailers during the busiest time of the year.
Retailers at The Marlands shopping centre in Southampton were the first to benefit from the additional help. Representative from Ellandi and Work,an, including Ellandi's director of asset management, Alex Brooker, spend the day working in Peacocks, Carte Blance, Perfume Shop and Claire's among others.
Tim Keeping, general manager of The Marlands, said "I had such an enjoyable - albeit busy - day working in Claire's. It's given me some great insight into how efficiently staff members have to work to ensure everything is well stocked, tidy and that customers have the shortest queue time possible. There's a fantastic team working in the store and I've really enjoyed spending the day with them."
