Like many great Irish exports there are another 17 Bangor's in the world, one in wales, two in Canada, 12 in the US, one in France and one way down under in Australia!

Bloomfield Shopping Centre and Retail Park is a dominant retail scheme in Bangor (Northern Ireland) which was developed in 1992 with refurbishment work carried out in 2001 and an extension completed in 2002. The accommodation is predominantly arranged over ground floor level and radiates from a central square. The scheme has a number of national retailers including Marks & Spencer, Next, T K Maxx, Boots, Tesco, River Island, Superdrug, Tim Horton's, Starbucks and JD Sports.

The retail park was opened in 1994 and comprises of national retailers including Sports Direct, McDonalds, B&M Bargains and Pets at Home.

Further investment is planned in the centre which will involve securing a new and additional anchor, extending the retail park and reconfiguration of the retail space to accommodate bigger box retailers and additional F & B.

Due to the fact that the centre effectively acts as a 'destination' where 92% of its customers travel by car, it benefits from an exceptionally high conversion rate averaging at over 95% along with a high dwell time of 67 minutes.

Bloomfield Shopping Centre is prominently situated on the Bangor South Circular Road at its junction with Bloomfield Road South, approximately 2 miles south of Bangor town centre.

The scheme is easily accessible by car and bus, and benefits from frequent bus services to Bangor town centre and Newtownards. A taxi rank is also provided in the car park.
