The Priory Centre is a thriving shopping centre in the heart of Dartford town centre. The centre was completed and opened in 1974 and comprises a covered scheme with 31 retail units, trading at ground floor only.

The centre is anchored by a Sainsbury's supermarket and a number of tenants including Wilkinsons, Poundland, The Works, Warren James, KFC, McDonald's, Card Factory, Greggs & Superdrug. The scheme also benefits from a 650 space multi storey car park as well as a 450 space surface car park fronting the Sainsbury's supermarket.

Dartford’s origins date back to Roman times as it was a key transport route to Dover. In the 15th century, Henry V marched his troops through the town prior to fighting the French at the Battle of Agincourt.

During the industrial revolution, Dartford was connected with agriculture, such as the brewing of traditional beers and ales, Lime-burning and chalk-mining. Today the skyline is dominated by the Dartford crossing which links Kent and Essex via the river Thames and Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Dartford is located some 19 miles east of Central London, 6 miles west of Gravesend and 10 miles south of Romford. The town lies to the south of the river Thames and just inside the M25 providing it with excellent road connections.

Rail services provide frequent and direct access to many Central London railway hubs including Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Victoria, Waterloo East and Charing Cross. London City Airport which provides domestic and international connections is located 8 miles to the west.

It is also home to the prestigious Dartford Grammar School and if you listen hard enough you can hear the voice of its most famous student Sir Mick Jagger.
