Nicknamed the Granite City, Aberdeen is Scotland's third most populous city and the United Kingdom's 37th most populous built-up area with an official population estimate of 196,670 for the city of Aberdeen and 229,800 for the local authority area. The Trinity Centre is a covered scheme which was constructed in 1981 and comprises of 34 retail units and over 400 car parking spaces.  Set predominantly on the ground floor, the scheme is anchored by a three-storey Debenhams and benefits from national retailers including HMV, Flying Tiger, The Works, Superdrug & Schuh.
